NERFU to play against Canadian Classics: July

We are thrilled to announce the Canadian Classics – a national touring club with two men’s teams and two women’s teams – is coming to New England this summer! NERFU will muster the very best players from men’s and women’s clubs in our union to not only represent New England – but the United States – in a series of massive international fixtures!

Men from Canada and New England will face off on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Women from both sides of the border will compete on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The Canadian guests will also host a couple of community skills camps, donating equipment from the event to beneficiary rugby organizations from New England.

NERFU is kicking off a recruitment campaign to pull together the very best of New England players, coaches, and referees.

Canadian Classics Rugby is a non-profit organization formed in 1995 by Canadian International Tom Woods to connect and build friendships throughout the global rugby community. Today the Classics not only seek to reunite Canada’s former representatives, but also to supplement them with top provincial, regional, and club players to form outstanding invitational touring sides.
