The Worcester Public Schools Boys HS Rugby team seeks volunteer Assistant Coaches (men or women) to help train and develop athletes new to rugby. We practice Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons (3:30PM – 5:30PM) at Burncoat HS in Worcester. Practices start mid-late March 2023 and go through the first week of June. Joint scrimmages/matches will be weekday afternoons TBD.
Entering our second Spring season, the team is mainly comprised of HS boys from traditionally underserved and overlooked demographics. After getting their first taste of rugby last Spring, these enthusiastic young men will benefit from your knowledge, guidance, and expertise.
While we ask Volunteer Asst Coaches to commit to helping plan and jointly run practices 2-3 afternoons/week, you’re welcome to join us for a practice or three even if you can’t make this commitment. The more our players see the myriad faces, sizes, genders, colors, and ages of rugby players, the better.
